Kotagiri – Soothing Greenery Fitted Amid Blue Mountains

This picturesque town with wonderful trekking trails lies amid Nilgiri hills between towns of Ooty and Coonor. Splendid views of rugged hills, gushing waterfalls, dense green jungles and a vast variety of flora and fauna here leave every visitors becharmed. Really, this wonderful town is treasure trove for nature-lovers. Interesting Kota tribes and enchanting species of birds and animals are also worth exploring.

Set off to the St Catherine Falls, and you’ll forget everything around. You eyes get stuck on breathtaking scenery of cascading waters, amazing rugged terrains and soothing scenery. This beautiful structure has a rich history, and was used for several different purposes periodically. There are some ancient photographs, tribal art and implements used by the tribes of the Nilgiri inside the Bungalow. A beautiful town nearby is really quite interesting to visit. A Kotagiri trip has a lot for active travelers too. Excellent trekking trails offer delightful experience to trekkers taking them through amazing natural splendors. Moreover, an excursion to mystic forests filled with enchanting species of plants, birds and animals is a rewarding experience for enthusiastic travelers. However, one needs to take permission from the District Forest Office to explore its untainted forests.
